Description
New England Track and Field Striping is seeking a line-striping assistant to start on June 2 and work through the mid/end of November. This work is a combination of surveying and painting high precision markings on running tracks and other sports surfaces.
Our company specializes in painting lines and events on rubberized running tracks at high schools and colleges throughout New England. The striping season will end at the end of November with potential of returning for the following season in 2022 starting June 1. Seeking someone who would be eager to learn the skills to maybe start their own crew.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Seeking a individual that is smart and active, in shape and good health condition to withstand outdoor work
• with a flexible schedule, and
• who is eager to learn a new unique trade.
• Assistant needs to be able to lift 50+ lbs. and
• provide their own transportation to the job sites and is able to be away for road trips/hotel stays for 2-6 days.
• Must be able to speak fluent English.
• Experience with running track and field will be helpful, to know where track and field events markings are throughout the tracks.
This is a 2 person crew. Myself (owner) and my assistant. This crew works throughout New England conducting 1–3 day jobs. Our company has a shop set up in Bellingham MA. Jobs located more than one hour away from Metro West will require an overnight in a hotel. A typical week consists of 4–5 days of work with most weekends off. Our work is weather dependent; we can't work if it's raining.
Payment: $18.00 per hour during training period. After this period, payment is in piecework format, in which you get paid a set amount for each running track completed, possible to make $300+ per day.
