During this workshop we will work on creating the best portrait possible with a deep dive into this art form. " It is more important to click with people than to click the shutter." Alfred Stieglitz Portrait photography or portraiture is a photograph of a person or group of people that captures the personality of the subject by using lighting, backdrops, and poses. This definition discribes a broad range of possibilities for the photographer, so where do you begin? During this workshop we will work on creating the best portrait possible with a deep dive into this art form. From setting, styling, communication, light selections, exposure, posing and getting it right in camera. Sounds easy, done it a thousand times? Well, for the rest of us we will empty our mind and create based on the personality of the subject and what we have to work with to create a body of work that represents the persons character.
