The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra has an opening for piano. If you can read charts, and LOVE big band jazz, this may be for you. FJO is a working, 18-piece big band (5/4/4/4) that captures the romance and excitement of the Swing Era: Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, Gene Krupa, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Diane Schuur, Buddy Rich, and more. This band works a LOT, but travel is limited to the Front Range. We've been off during the quarantine, but already have 10 gigs on the books for 2021. We play in regular rotation at all of the major dance venues in the Front Range: * Dazzle Jazz * Dickens Opera House * Avalon Ballroom * Buffalo Rose * Mercury Cafe * Denver Turnverein * Caribou Room * Curtis Ballroom plus weddings, festivals, fundraisers and corporate events.
