Position Greenskeeper/Equipment Operator Location Sahalee Country Club Sammamish, WA 98074 The Club Sahalee Country Club first opened for play in 1969 and was recently ranked among America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses by Golf Digest. The championship caliber design originated from nationally recognized golf course architect Ted Robinson with later renovation by Rees Jones. Carved out of the Cascade foothills on the greater Sammamish plateau, Sahalee Country Club is located just 15 miles east of downtown Seattle and was the site of the 1998 PGA Championship, 2010 U.S. Senior Open and 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. The property offers 27 championship golf holes to its’ private membership. The 27 holes consist of three 9-hole courses of equal stature: The North, South and East course, any two of which can be combined to a standard 18-hole course. Job Description and Requirements The Greenskeeper/Equipment Operator, under supervision of the assistant superintendent(s), performs various duties related to course set-up, course playability, maintenance, and project work. In addition, the position involves the use of multiple equipment types and basic preventative maintenance. This position at times requires agility, stamina, and physical strength (individual must be able to lift at a minimum 50 Lbs.). Knowledge of safe operating practices required to avoid workplace hazards. Other requirements include the ability to follow directions, possession of a valid driver’s license, a reliable way of getting to work on time, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.
