FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham brewer Exhibit 'A' recently made a $2,088 donation to the Hoops and Homework after school program — and the gift was made possible because of a special beer brewed to honor educators. Here's more from a Seven Hills Foundation press release: Exhibit 'A' Brewing Company has announced the donation of $2,088 to Framingham's Hoops and Homework after school program. The funds will be used to assist students with remote learning, after school and summer programs. The donation was generated through a portion of the sales of Educator, a beer that honored the teachers who have shaped our lives and continue to help students learn and grow in today's challenging environment. "As a Framingham company, we're always looking for meaningful ways to contribute to our community," said Kelsey Roth, General Manager at Exhibit 'A' Brewing Company. "With several current and former teachers on our staff and the challenging year that schools have had amidst the pandemic, Hoops and Homework was a natural beneficiary this year. We are happy to be able to provide direct help to the students in our neighborhood." "Exhibit 'A' Brewing Company's support comes at a critical time," said Herb Chasan, Founder of Hoops and Homework. "COVID has meant additional challenges for students and educators. And funds from local companies like Exhibit 'A' are helping us raise the funds we need to expand our programs and increase our enrollment. I'm proud to be part of a community whose businesses, government, nonprofits and individuals pulled together to help students and educators at this difficult time." As a local small business, Exhibit 'A' Brewing Company participates in a variety of nonprofit and fundraising initiatives throughout the year designed to support the company's values.
