STAMFORD, CT — Stamford police are investigating the death of Denise McLaughlin, 50, as a homicide, police said. At 9 p.m. Friday, police responded to a Manor Street apartment. Officers responded for a welfare check and found McLaughlin dead in her first floor apartment, police said. Friends of the victim became concerned after attempting to call her for several days without making contact, police said. The case is under investigation.
