JOB SUMMARY Diagnose and trouble-shoot gas and electric golf car performance issues, create a plan and execute repairs, with a focus on quality and efficiently adhering to the service schedule. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Diagnose, trouble-shoot and research golf car performance issues, often working in conjunction with other experienced technicians (coworkers, manufacturers, other retailers) and vendors. Suggest additional service work and accessories as appropriate. • Repair golf cars, to include removal and installation of motors, solenoids, axles, etc. • Electrical work such as diagnosing complex electrical systems, tracing wiring, rewiring, repairing chargers, etc. • Customization of golf cars, such as the removal and installation of accessories (rear seats, stereos, light kits, rain enclosures, dashes, steering wheels, etc.) • Provide maintenance on golf cars, such as a full “annual preventative service” and an ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Customer service in store, on the phone and possibly at the customer’s home, to include: calling customers for approval on estimates, fielding inquiries on pricing and technical advice • Provide written documentation of work performed, parts and pricing on work forms in a clear and timely manner • Work closely with coworkers to adhere to pick up/delivery schedule and deadlines, for service work • Attend factory training workshops • Repair tires • Keep service area clean and organized JOB QUALIFICATIONS: • Must have professional experience repairing older and newer American-made golf cars (E-Z-GO, Yamaha, Club Car, ICON) • Ability to read and comprehend manufacturer’s schematics, service manuals, parts catalogs • Operation of the following: golf car, pressure washer, air impact, hand held tools, golf car programmers, • Must be able to work full-time • Must be detail oriented, efficient and able to manage service work on multiple golf cars • It is helpful to possess your own tools, but not mandatory • Must be able to push a non-running golf car onto and off a trailer and into the service area • Must be able to lift 80 pounds repeatedly (batteries, motors, etc.), tolerate loud noises and work in outdoor weather conditions • Must be drug-free We perform background screenings and drug tests on the final candidates.
