Description

CONCORD, NH — Concord police and firefighters, as well as New Hampshire State Police and Fish & Game, have been searching for a missing person in East Concord. Limited information is known about the case at post time but according to scanner chatter, police have been searching for the person since Sunday. On Monday morning, police met with a complainant about the case in the area of Eastman and Portsmouth streets. New Hampshire State Police K-9 units were also called to East Concord. New Hampshire Fish & Game are also involved in the search. All involved were searching the banks of the Merrimack River near the Society for the Protection of NH Forests recreation area. Around 11 a.m., firefighters were requested to launch boats to search the Merrimack River and released them from the boat launch at NHTI, Concord's community college. Around noon, police stopped the search along the river banks in East Concord. Marine Patrol and Concord firefighters still have boats in the water, according to scanner chatter. NEWS 603 posted video of the boat launch on YouTube.com. The Concord firefighter boat was taken out of service around 2:30 p.m. Around 10:45 a.m. on Monday, Concord police posted this information on Facebook. Patch has not confirmed that it is the same case although probably likely since officers are visiting locations known to be connected to the missing person. According to a family member, Hardiman has been missing since Saturday not Sunday. Concord police have not returned a call for comment at post time. Concord NH Patch will update this post when more information becomes available. Got a news tip? Send it to [email protected].
