Stanford Holds Championship Parade For Women's Basketball

PALO ALTO, CA — The Stanford women's basketball team took part in a parade on campus on Monday afternoon, a day after winning its first national championship since 1992. The parade started at Maples Pavilion, the Cardinal's home stadium, at 2 p.m., and did a loop through the campus. Around 2:35 p.m., the parade is expected to be in front of Palo Alto City Hall, where the public was encouraged to come support their champions. The parade route has been expanded! Stanford beat Arizona, 54-53, in a thrilling championship game on Sunday to win its third championship in program history.
