Description

Women Wealth & Wine Ladies' Night As part of the 8th Annual Women Veterans Week of Recognition, the NEFL Women Veterans will be hosting a Women, Wealth & Wine event on Wednesday, June 9th, from 6pm - 9pm, at the American Legion Post 9, located at 6242 Old Soutel Ct. Jacksonville, FL 32219. There will be 6 amazing professional women in the financial industry discussing a variety of financial topics including financial management, building and rebuilding credit, social security and insider secrets, entrepreneurship, mortgage, investments, and more. Our speakers will first introduce their topics then breakout into group discussions. The opening remarks and introductions will begin at 6:30pm but we invite you to join us for networking and refreshments prior to then. We welcome all women veterans, women serving active duty, national guard, and reserves, as well as women spouses and daughters of those who have served or are currently serving to join us for this ladies' night. Hors d'oeuvres will be served by the Magnola Kitchen and is being sponsored by a military spouse who would like to remain anonymous. There will be a 50/50 raffle, raffles for gift baskets, and more so we highly suggest you register and ensure you bring some cash! All proceeds will be used to assist women veterans during the week of recognition and thereafter. Beer, wine, and alcohol are being offered separately by the American Legion at a discounted price. We thank Post 9 for donating their beautiful space for this event. *Registration is required by June 8th. For any questions regarding the Women Wealth & Wine event, please contact Sharleen at [email protected] or 904-479-9976. Texts are welcome. About the Women Veterans Week of Recognition June 5 - June 12: the organization’s daily events will not only celebrate the accomplishments of women veterans but also bring awareness to the unique needs and challenges they face in transitioning into civilian life. This year will focus on mental health wellness. NEFLWV recognizes the increase of suicide among our veterans and wants to ensure women veterans have a platform to discuss, learn, and be encouraged. We believe everyone will walk away knowing they can exceed beyond their own expectations. This year, we will again honor our WWII women veterans. We call them our “trailblazers” and we honor them for their sacrifices. In addition, we will recognize women veterans who are making a difference in their community. Please visit the organization's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/NortheastFloridaWomenVeterans or the website at www.forwomenvets.org for more details on all events for the week.
