Alexander's Contract Services has been in business since 1967,reading Water Meters for numerous municipalities and privately owned companies in California, Florida, Texas, Virginia and Illinois. We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our team! We are searching for a self-starting, hardworking, and goal orientated individual who wants to grow with our company. This position does not require experience reading meters as we will train, however it is a general labor job. Qualifications M-1 License Clean DMV report Clear Background/ Drug screening At least 3 years’ experience managing 5 employees or more. Willing to work some weekends as necessary. Have the ability to lift meter lids weighing up to 45 lbs. throughout the shift. Be able to work on feet for eight (8) hours with repeated bending, crouching and climbing. Skills Great communication skills Excellent organizational skills Good Computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Brief Overview of Daily Responsibilities Assign routes to the reader's for the following day, inform the reader's of their route so they can plan their work day and know where to meet in the morning. Each morning you meet with the crew discuss the details of the work day and conduct any safety meetings, etc. Supervisor will also read meters or do rereads/rechecks. Respond to all emails, text messages, paperwork and phone calls for ACS in a timely manner. Stay on schedule, make good decisions and communicate with the crew, office staff and managers. Be available at all times if a crew member needs assistance. This is just a brief overview of some responsibilities and does not include all.
