Hi Art Folks, I am in the process of remodeling a building to make it into my own personal art studio but also an art center where I can host art/music and poetry events. It's very rough-looking right now but am putting much hard work and money into the project. It's called the "Tree of Life Art Center" and I wish to open sometime in the Fall if covid is under control by then. I want to have the rooms of the building host different mediums. I plan a printmaking, ceramics, educational classroom, and sculpture rooms that can be used on Saturdays for a nominal fee. I also have a huge gas-fired firing kiln, and a make-shift raku kiln, sawdust firing kiln, and a portable homemade foundry for bronze and aluminum casting. These are all low-cost equipment that I've made for myself over the years and are in different phases of completion. I am open to networking with artists, poets, and musicians in the community in and around the international district. I am open to people who are easy to work with and not judgemental. I am open to working with people who are healers and contributors. I am also open to contributions for art supplies and equipment. Should the opportunity arise, please contact me and I can pick up. (my own personal wish list includes a lithography press and equipment, just in case.) I would accept: gardening supplies including growing soil and raised bed frames. art supplies assistance with electrical and plumbing printmaking equipment ceramics equipment bronze aluminum etc, etc... In exchange for contributions, I can write a donation ticket or exchange for studio time. For poets and musicians, please email me for networking for possible shows. I would like to invite the public for mixed media, music. art and poetry events, perhaps even having food trucks at events. So, maybe nothing will come of this, or perhaps it will. I'm putting this out there to see if there are creative, grounded, competent, and sober folks interested in networking for post-covid events. kind regards, E
