COUNTER SALES POSITION ALBANY NY Meeting customer needs is first and foremost. A counter sales associate needs to be a highly motivated individual that learns quickly and is driven to go the extra mile in all situations. In this position you will be expected to learn how to efficiently perform your daily job tasks. This position entails processing, picking, and assisting customers with their orders as well as helping with inventory, warehouse, and other organizational roles. As a small business we work as a team, all employees will be expected and required to help with tasks as needed. A professional appearance and attitude are required at all times. Greeting customers with a friendly and warm demeanor is vital. Familiarity with computers is a must. All orders are typed on a computer, basic typing skills are required. Candidates must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations. Addition, subtraction, division, multiplication. They also must have a grasp on fractions. Must be able to read and understand a tape measure, and slide measuring device Position Requirements: - Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred - A minimum of 1 year working in a warehouse environment - Employee must be capable of working A 8+ hour day. -Daily schedule will be consistent, overtime will be required as needed. - Employee must be able to stand for long periods of time while fulfilling duties. - Must frequently use hand(s) for repetitive movement single grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. - Must frequently bend, twist, squat, climb, and reach. - Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 70 lbs. -Must be able to interact in a healthy manor with employees and customers -Coach and motivate employees -Must be able to function in a fast paced environment -Must have a strong desire to learn necessary skills and computer programs -Must possess a high school diploma -Must have forklift experience -Must have a valid US driver license -Must own reliably transportation • Basic ability to read, speak, write and comprehend the English language to perform essential job duties. • Independent discretion and judgment. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. • Excellent time-management skills • Well-developed sense of urgency and follow through. $16 per hour Monthly, Christmas, and Annual bonus 401K Plan with company contributions Monthly, Christmas, and Annual bonus Paid health insurance Paid vacation time (Benefits listed above begin after a probationary period)
