Description

This tour looks to highlight some of Hagerstown's most notable deceased. Founded in 1866 as Hagerstown's first public cemetery with the purpose of providing a place for the burial of all people regardless of race or religion, Rose Hill Cemetery is the final resting place for many notable persons who called Hagerstown and Washington County home. Join Executive Director Colleen Rafferty on a walking tour that will highlight the most requested persons interred within the cemetery. This two hour tour will feature the history of several of the areas founding families, prominent local business owners, and those who were icons, trailblazers and legends in their own time. With so many notable persons that have come before us, this tour can't be missed! This will be an outdoor, family-friendly event. Social distancing will be observed.
