Description
WEST ISLIP, NY — Everybody has a favorite teacher — maybe it's a teacher who went out of their way to make one student's day or a teacher who brightens up a classroom, whether virtually or in-person, every day.
Two teachers who deserve shout-outs are Ms. Elizabeth Kelly and Ms. Pamela Diorio, both teachers at Udall Middle School in West Islip. They were nominated by Robin Pierce.
Here's what she had to say about the two teachers:
I wanna shout out my son's teacher at Udall Middle school. He has had numerous ones in 6th grade and now in 7th grade. We moved from New Jersey two years ago to West Islip. My son was bullied in NJ and hated school. When he came to this school he loved it and his grades started improving. His main inspiration this year is Elizabeth Kelly she is his IEP teacher. She is so amazing she has his grades high in the 80s and 90s. She is his 7th-grade teacher. His 6th-grade teacher was Mrs. Diorio. This school is absolutely amazing he feels so good and safe here. Congratulations to Ms. Kelly and Ms. Diorio! Thank you for all that you do!
