April 2: Identity theft (first-degree) was reported on Long Beach Road in St. James from March 5 at noon. Someone opened a credit card in someone else's name and then made purchases while not paying bills, police said.April 2: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Michael Place in Nesconset from March 5 at 8 a.m. A man had to pay someone else money in an attempt to keep it secret from his wife that he was on a dating website, police said.March 31: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Nesconset Highway in Nesconset from March 20 at 1:30 p.m. The tires and rims were stolen from a 2021 Escalade at King O'Rourke Cadillac, police said.March 28: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Nesconset Highway in Nesconset from March 27 at 9 p.m. The tires and rims were stolen from a 2021 Escalade at King O'Rourke Cadillac, police said.
