Description

The UCLA Department of Family Medicine is conducting a research study on the use of Cannabis for Pain management. Dilara Üsküp, PhD, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow in the Semel Institute for Brain Behavior and Cognitive Neuroscience and her faculty sponsor Steven Shoptaw, PhD, Director of the Center for Behavioral & Addiction Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles are conducting a research study. The study seeks to investigate both the therapeutic potential and adverse impact of cannabis for pain management, among African Americans. Participation in this study involves a 2 hour commitment (1 hour to fill out an online survey and play an online game involving balloons, 1 hour in an interview over Zoom) for which you will be rewarded a $50 Amazon gift card. In order to participate, you must be over 18 years of age, identify as Black/African-American, experience non-cancer related pain, have not suffered brain injury, have a physical address and computer access.
