Hello! My name is Tom I am a local LA tutor and a recent college grad and an upcoming medical student. I have numerous years working as a tutor and mentor both privately here around Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Cheviot Hills and Beverly Hills as well as a volunteer at Palisades Charter HS. I have also worked at community centers with disadvantaged elementary-aged students. I understand how to be an effective and fun teacher for students and part of that secret is fostering camaraderie between myself and the student. The trust and smiles are essential for any good learning session and if the student looks forward to our tutoring session then I know it will be possible to bring success to your child! That is why I host primary lesson where we mainly get to know each other and see if there is a fit, no matter the price/'quality' of a tutor if the fit for your child isn't there, it will be very difficult to be effective. A little bit more about myself: I am an outgoing and active person who loves outdoor activities. I enjoy surfing, skating, biking, skiing, as well as reading up on current events in science and technology! I have scored in the 98th percentile for the ACT and 90th for the MCAT. As a critical thinker, I am able to tutor many subjects and conform to your child's needs
