We are looking for driven individuals who will use their experience, as a Coatings Production Supervisor, to Organize, coordinate, and supervise employees and activities within the blending/production department to ensure an effective and efficient blending/production operation that meets safety, quality, and production standards. Reports to Plant Manager. **PLEASE APPLY ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE EXPERIENCES IN EPOXY/PAINT BLENDING** Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned: Establishes and controls procedures to meet production schedules Establishes and monitors cost control systems to achieve department budget objectives. Recommends and initiates improvements to production processes, to increase manufacturing efficiency. Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change. Document test procedures and results and retain product samples. Ensures all raw materials returned to inventory have the right quantity and information on containers and containers are in good condition. Follows lab instructions regarding batch approval, adjustments, and any additional requirements. Responsible for compliance with safety and housekeeping requirements Provides training, support, direction, and guidance to department personnel to continually develop their work habits, job skills and safety practices. Evaluates employee performance and accountability. Recommends and/or administers personnel actions in accordance with company policies and procedures. Qualifications: Previous experience mixing and blending epoxy / paint. Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment required Excellent organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail. Demonstrates ability to supervise diverse work groups in a team environment using effective listening, coaching, training, investigative and problem-solving skills, ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment and effective time management in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision Strong math and measurement skills to ensure the ratios of mixed materials and consistent. Knowledge of OSHA and demonstrated record of safety-focused leadership. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with information. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations Preferred Qualifications: Experience supervising operations within a manufacturing/industrial plant/facility, including managing production and employees, scheduling, training, meeting deadlines and project schedules Experience in performance management and increasing subordinates' skills and capabilities Process improvement experience with one of the following: lean manufacturing (Kaizen, 5S) or Six Sigma We look forward to hearing from you!
