Trying to adopt a kitten

I'm a 58yr.old guy and I live alone in Syracuse. I have few visitors. Recently, I decided to adopt a 12-14 week old main coon kitten. I have everything I need but the kitten. I would Prefer a male. I'm sure I could give him a happy home. The only thing is I'm on a fixed income and can't afford the outrageous prices that breeders are changing for them. I was just wondering, Could anyone possibly help me find a friend?
