We are currently looking for a Seasonal Market Sales Associate. You will be our customer service and sales representative for our brand’s pop-up shop at the Urbanspace Spring Market in Bryant Park. DOES THIS DESCRIBE YOU? You are the gabber in your group of friends. The one who can pick up a genuine conversation with just about anyone and always leaves a place with a new friend. You like to build new relationships, by following up. You have an extroverted personality and is very personable with people. You bring the fun and excitement to any situation. You can deal with all kids of situations with grace, and don’t fold under pressure. You ae constantly smiling and giving off positive vibes. You are goal oriented and very ambitious to meet and exceed your goals. As a self-starter you don’t need to me monitored to get the work done, but you are meticulous with details and following instructions. You are a team player that is in it to win it. You love selling! YOU WILL NEED TO BE: • Energetic and Dynamic Leader • Excellent customer service, understanding needs and overcoming objections with persistence. • Able to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment • Superior people skills, and emotional intelligence • Dependable and reliable • Highly motivated self-starter • Ability to work in an unstructured environment with the ability to make tradeoff decisions quickly • Highly adaptable, multitasker • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented environment, and are competitively results driven. • Collaborates and communicates effectively with the ability to give/receive constructive feedback • Have an awareness of social trends and pop culture. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Expected to meet and exceed sales goals • Document activities for social media – frequent posting. • Serves customers with a smile a great energy and consistently provides outstanding customer service. • Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge. • Upsell, upsell, upsell – ALWAYS • Communicative with Owner about progression of the day in sales, and any issues or concerns with the shop. • Be able to self manage small concerns and take responsibility for things within your ability to fix or address. • Using POS system to process payments. • Always capturing customer data effectively and also efficiently as to not take time away from serving other customers. • Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise. • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation. • Bringing in the HYPE and energy everyday that represents our brand. PREFERED SKILLS: • Possess basic math and financial skills • Preferably experienced with point-of-sales systems • 1-2 years of sales experienced required.
