We are looking to hire up to 3 part-time employees to start immediately. Part time employees can work up to 3 days per week, *OR* approximately 4-5 hours per day, up to 5 days per week. Employees that show strong work ethic, timeliness, and team players may be brought on to full time.
Job Purpose:
Acquire scrap metal and other recyclables from the general public, commercial accounts, and industrial accounts.
Duties:
* Help unload scrap materials as it arrives at our facility from cars, trucks, and semi-trucks.
* Weigh materials and report accurate numbers to the buyer.
* Sort materials into like groups and puts those materials into the proper containers.
* Process some material to make them more desirable for shipping and/or resale.
* Package like materials either by banding material in racks or banding full boxes of like materials.
* Maintains clean and safe work site by removing scrap, following safety rules and procedures, and wearing personal protective equipment.
* Supports work processes by inspecting, preparing, sorting, weighing, measuring, cutting, adding, trimming, and loading materials.
