I just moved here from Nevada and tried to get my Ranger inspected but apparently the tint on it is too dark (17%VLT on their tester)... This was a shock to me because I never even considered this pickup’s tint to be ‘dark’. I’ll pay $60 to a tint-friendly inspector that will pass my truck despite the few %points on the tint. That will save me a lot of elbow grease and money to have it re-tinted 8% lighter 🤦‍♂️ Honestly, I see plenty of TX plates on the road with darker tint than mine. In fact, Nevada’s tint laws are much stricter than Texas’ tint laws, but I never had an issue with officers in NV Everything else on the inspection passed of course. I’m a mechanic... the tint was the last thing they checked. I’m looking to pay $60 to a tint-friendly inspector that will pass my Ranger despite the tint being a few % too dark on a tester.
