Description
Drs. Sanjuan and Stephen at the University of New Mexico and the Mind Research Network are seeking research participants for a study about military service members and PTSD.
Ideal participants include those that:
-Are between the age of 18-55
-Are Active Duty or Veterans of any military branch
-Have participated in or supported combat operations in or out of a combat zone between 2002 and now
-Have combat exposure and/or experience
You do not need to have a PTSD diagnosis or experience PTSD symptoms to be a part of the study.
Participation in the study will include:
-Two study appointments
-Completing questionnaires on your personal experience of moods, feelings, and PTSD
-An MEG Scan
-An MRI Scan
All the data collected from you during this research study will be confidential. All study procedures are deemed minimal risk and to ensure your safety throughout the study scans, you will need to pass a metal screen test to ensure there is no metal in your body. You will also be screened for COVID-19 symptoms to ensure everyone’s safety. You will receive $40 after the first study appointment and $60 dollars after completing the second appointment, and get an image from your MRI to keep.
