Warehouse, Production, Local Delivery Drivers, Local Semi Drivers, and Maintenance positions available. Home City Ice is now hiring route drivers for the 2021 season at our Woodridge, IL location. Train now and be ready to work full time this summer. We also have facilities in Chicago, Elgin, Rockford, Morton, and Springfield that employ summer workers. The positions we hire for are route delivery of our packaged ice products. Company trucks are used to deliver our products to established route customers. Typically, drivers work 5 days a week in the summer and 1-2 days a week while in school. Starting drivers average between $12.00 and $15.00+ per hour. Motivated individuals can make $18.00+. Our top drivers earn $20.00-$30.00+ per hour. Every year current employees have opportunities to move into management positions in and around a fifteen state region. We can be more than “just” a summer employer. You can work full time in the summer and part time during the fall and winter. Every year employees earn enough in the summer to pay their tuition if in school. We also have a tuition reimbursement program for qualifying employees. You must have a clean driving and criminal record. A pre-employment drug screen and physical will be required.
