Description
We are rehoming Bella, our 7 year old Catahoula. Bella was a rescue about 8 months ago. As far as we know, she’s a purebred Catahoula. We do not have papers for her. She is spayed.
She’s a great dog, house trained, good with adults, children, and other pets. She’s even good with small children. We have a three year old and they play together for hours.
She can get a bit hyper when she plays, so if your little is afraid of that, she may not be the dog for you. She knows all basic commands. She also loves to go for rides.
Unfortunately, she has a bad habit of chasing cars going down our driveway and we haven’t been able to train this behavior out of her. To be fair, we haven’t had the time to put in a very good effort of it. The lack of time is the main reason for rehoming her, as she is a mostly well behaved dog.
She doesn’t go into the road otherwise.
Bella loves to run and needs space or a high energy owner who can give her lots of exercise. She has the energy of a puppy, but is also calm when she’s inside as long as she’s getting exercise.
She WILL bark when someone pulls up in the driveway. For us, that’s good, but if it’s not for you, just know that she’s a large dog and her bark is LOUD.
We have free-range chickens and she hasn’t ever bothered them.
She has no health issues that we’re aware of. She’s Merle, but doesn’t have any hearing or vision problems.
We will be asking a $60 rehoming fee.
