Description

Journey with us on a pilgrimage close to home, along the sacred waters of the Potomac River. The term pilgrimage often brings to mind long walks in distant destinations, yet we can bring the mind and heart of a pilgrim to wherever we are. Beth Norcross, Executive Director of The Center for Spirituality in Nature and Leah Rampy, pilgrimage leader and adjunct faculty for the Shalem Institute, will lead us as we open to the beauty and wisdom all around and within. Through the pilgrim practices of silence and reflection, we will still our busy minds, sharpen our senses, and bring home the blessings of the living world. We’ll walk slowly and contemplatively and encourage participants to awake slowly and contemplatively to Presence within or around us. There will be ample opportunity to walk or sit in spacious silence, deepening our connection to the Sacred in all of life. Bring your journal if you have one and your open hearts to see what might be revealed. We are meeting at Fletcher’s Cove Boat House. We’ve found a quiet and peaceful path where we can follow all current COVID-19 guidelines. More safety and location details will be included in the confirmation email. We do not want to preclude anyone from taking the workshop due to cost. Please contact us if you have any concerns about paying for the workshop.
