Med brown dog got hit on freeway

I was driving toward Irvington on I-19 Sunday about 130am and seen a dog running down freeway I pulled over backed up but couldn’t see so went to next exit hoping to see him so could get him or her off the freeway but before I got to Valencia exit someone hit him or her I pulled over and got him off the road I am so sorry whom ever he belonged to I am heartbroken I tried to save him I’m am so sorry
