ISO: FREE OR CHEAP BIKE

ISO:Women's and/or Men's Mountain bike(s) in rideable condition. AND BIKE LOCKS!! (I know this is a total long shot! But it can't hurt to try!) So... long story as short as possible, my 3 youngest kids & I have given up on having bikes due to thefts. My oldest son (who just turned 20 on the 31st, but has semi-high functioning ASD, and some other issues) is going to culinary school on the other side of town & commuting back and forth including running errands, coming to visit with us in the 07 from the Arch apartments when he has time off campus, etc... BY BIKE... all year round, while I try to get a cheap but dependable car to surprise him with in the midst of everything else we've got going on. (He can't juggle school and a job with his disabilities, to earn enough extra for his own, it's too much.) So a couple months ago his bike bit the dust. It was basically junk anyhow but it was stolen off campus, nonetheless. Well he borrowed a (Women's Mountain bike) from someone and it was basically a piece of junk with a broken seat but when he went to ride home to the 07 tonight, it was also gone. Well. The "generous" lender of said piece of garbage is losing their mind about how it's irreplaceable, etc. and I'm honestly fine with buying one, or both, brand new if it comes to it... but I would much rather get something usable but currently unloved & put that money towards a car for him instead, if I can.
