Riding the Full Loop allows you to see many of Central Park’s iconic destinations, bodies of water, fields, statues, and the unique characteristics that vary throughout the 800 acres. Along the way your tour guide will also share the fascinating history of the park. Covid 19 protocols will be used while in close proximity. How it works: Meet the group at the Citi Bike at the Grand Army Plaza and Central Park S station (near 59th St and 5th Ave, next to the Plaza hotel). Or bring your own bike. We’ll Enter the park at the Grand Army Plaza entrance, then ride onto East Park Drive to the main road (“loop”) that runs the perimeter of Central Park. Approx 6 miles. Along the way Danielle will share some historic facts about the park At one point the group will stop for lunch. At the end we will return to the Grand Army Plaza and Central Park S station. If you use a Citibike: The total distance of the Full Loop is 6.1 miles and it takes most people about 45 to 60 minutes on a Citi Bike. Remember, the first 30 minutes of each ride on a classic bike are included in the price of a single ride and day pass. Include an extra hour for lunch and sightseeing stops. What to bring: 2 Liters of water Lunch in a backpack or bag that you can carry on the bike. Important to know Central park is not flat. There are a few locations where you will need to ride up inclines. If you have not been on a bike in a while or are not in good shape you may want to consider our Central Park Walking Tours. Covid 19 Protocols: Please do not come if you have been exposed. You may cancel up to one week for a refund. Within one week you will be given a credit to use for selected events. We will take temperatures when you arrive. Event limited to 10 people so there is space for everyone to be safe. Face masks must be worn while within close proximity.. Cost: $20 General Members Included: Tour guide fee Not included: Bike rental Can I come alone? Yes, 98% of those attending this event normally register on their own. You welcome to bring as many non member guests, friends & co workers as you’d like, just make sure to register for the number of people that you want below. Our staff will be ready to greet you and introduce you to others whether you are on your own or with guests. Do I need a ticket? It is always best to print out the ticket confirmation or save it on your devices as proof of purchase especially if you have purchased your ticket on the same day as the event.. Dress Code: Dress for the weather How will I find the group? We will send you a confirmation email with exact locations, contact info and names of those who are hosting the event when you register. We will send follow up emails as we get closer, usually the night before or morning of. Ages: 21+ Most of our events attract 20’s -40’s although some events can skew younger or older (50’s) depending on the event. Some events are clearly age specific as indicated.
