But finding a dose can prove difficult at times. There's no one way to find a time slot that's open for a vaccine dose, so if you're looking to get vaccinated as soon as possible in Michigan here are some tips: 1. Check Your Local Health Department Michigan allocates much of its COVID-19 vaccine supply to county health departments around the state. While health departments often partner with area hospitals to distribute vaccine doses, many are providing or assisting with vaccination efforts. 2. Check Pharmacy Chains In Michigan, many local pharmaceutical chains are playing a major role in distributing the vaccine. Retailers such as Meijer, Rite Aid, Walgreens and others are working with the state to administer doses. 3. Check the State Website Michigan's coronavirus web page offers its own tool for finding vaccines, sorted by county. You can visit that site here.
