This is a seasonal position from April through July; weekends required in the peak season (end of April through mid-June). Weekly compensation; 20-70 hours per week. Pursuant to Federal E-Log Laws, this job may require company paid overnights, meaning company pays for 1 hotel room per night (2 beds) for Sales Representative and Sales Assistant. Employees are not paid for time spent eating or sleeping. Responsibilities primarily include traveling with a Sales Representative in the delivery truck in the area of PNW, loading and unloading vegetable and herb plants to designated big box and independent stores and assisting the Sales Representative with plant rack maintenance, including setting up/taking down and storing plant racks. The physical demands of this job include being able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., climb, sit, bend, stoop, reach arms over head, and push/ pull carts. Employee must be able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate noise and/or vibrations from riding in a box truck.
