"Murdock" is a sweet boy found tied up on a chain in Mexico... his owners weren't able to take care of him and no longer wanted him. He is 100% blind. He has cataracts, ERG was negative, and ocular ultrasound confirmed his retinas are detached. He was transported to San Diego where he was neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, de-flead, 4DX tested negative, and had appts with an ophthalmologist (to determine that the cataracts couldn't be repaired). He is a VERY sweet, good natured boy! He is house trained, however loves being outdoors. He hates being in a crate! His foster home keeps him in the kitchen behind a baby gate to keep him out of trouble. Murdock was about 50lbs when he was rescued, now 2 months later he's getting chubby! He loves food. It's A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E. watching him sniffing to find a toy then getting sooo excited when he finds it! He seems good with other dogs, however not with cats (he wants to eat them). Interestingly he seems totally fine with chickens! He loves people, he gives hugs! He's just the sweetest boy. Everyone who meets him can't believe how wonderful his spirit is! He loves toys and treats, and is always wagging his tail. An adoption fee of $250 is asked to help with all of his vet fees. He needs an amazing home who will continue to love and nurture him, and work on basic training.
