Description
My family and I are in the unfortunate situation of having to rehome our 6 year old calico, F.P. (short for Fluffy Pants). We have had her since she was 3 weeks old, and she’s been shown nothing but love and patience. However, we have come to realize that we can no longer ignore the fact that our living situation is not ideal for her. Despite our best efforts to counteract it, as our family has grown, so has the disharmony. We care very much about her happiness and well-being as well as our own, which is why we feel it is best for everyone if she were to find a person or persons to bond and live comfortably with alone. We have a sweet 9 year old dog who generally prefers to be in a different room than her. We also have a 5 year old son who has expressed fear of “Mow Mow’s” mouthiness and escalating combativeness. She is a calico through and through: gorgeous, confident, sassy, cuddly, mouthy, and very open about her grievances. Her temperament, paired with a chaotic household in a small apartment, has resulted in chronic grumpiness for her. We’re planning on having more dogs, and after extensive discussion have decided to keep the kid, so we know our setup isn’t going to be changing anytime soon. F.P. is accustomed to being brushed, having her nails trimmed, and has always been an indoor cat (sometimes with supervised balcony time). She is up to date on all of her vaccines and preventative flea medication. We have all of her medical records on hand. She’s asthmatic and has an inhaler she uses once a day; she’s displeased with its existence, but tolerates the procedure. As mentioned above, she likes to snuggle. We think she would be happiest in a calm household with only one or two people and no other pets or children. Experience with calicos is recommended. We are asking for a humble $30 rehoming fee, and are also able to include a hard carrier, soft carrier, leash, collar, harness, food dish, food, pine litter pellets, nail clippers (she needs to be restrained to have them cut), and litter box (just a Rubbermaid tote with a hole in it). If interested, please reply via email with a little bit about yourself and your living situation. We are located in Wilsonville, OR.
