Description
I'm a hobbyist musician/producer living in SF. I see a lot of Serious posts looking for band members or collaborators that outline expected hours of practice, age range, gender, and plans to tour. I respect this but have no interest in being Serious myself. Music for me is like cooking -- something that sustains me and is great to share, but not a career I strive for.
That said, making music in a silo is a bummer. I'm looking for a like minded person (or people) who'd be willing to share recordings and talk/critique, possibly on a regular basis. Ideally this person would also be actively writing songs or producing tracks, and our taste would overlap.
More about me:
I'm in my 30s. I make mostly instrumental electronic music inspired by film-score-adjacent artists like Boards of Canada, Flying Lotus, and Oneohtrix Point Never. I also record sedated garage rock/pop on a Fender Mustang and Princeton Reverb. I'm interested in music's ability to create a sense of place. I like making music for hiking.
If this at all interests you and you enjoy any of my tracks https://soundcloud.com/malectro, send me links to your own recordings and a little about your taste and goals.
