JOB SUMMARY: Sandwich Kitchens Inc. is searching for an experienced part time carpenter with 10-20 years experience in carpentry and general construction. Cabinetry installation is our main business, but in between kitchen/bath jobs, we take on all other construction related-work (approximately 5 - 10 % of the time). Being an excellent finish carpenter is a requirement. The individual hired should be able to complete a project from frame to finish. Sandwich Kitchens is expanding our main duties to include outdoor projects; such as doing outdoor showers, decks and building stone walls etc. The bulk of our work (90%) is kitchen and bath remodeling. The desired candidate is someone who likes change and is willing to take on any task. Work is mostly within 30-45 minutes of the Bourne or Sagamore Bridge. Work can range from 8 - 16 hours most weeks. A commitment of at least 8 hours per week is required. Work hours are scheduled during, Monday through Friday. Saturday is usually also an option. The desired candidate would have all of their own tools, and a truck capable of pulling trailers from job to job and picking up deliveries (about once per week or two on average). A good driving record is also required. For heavy trailer loads, Sandwich Kitchen’s truck can be used. Fuel compensation will be provided, should you pull one of our trailers. MAIN DUTIES: Install Kitchen and bath cabinets, flooring, and tile Install bearing walls, windows, decks, venting and framing smaller areas, typically. Do demo work and transfer material to transfer station (dump trailer) Make trips to stores to pick up equipment/materials as needed Pick up and deliver cabinetry Other duties as needed REQUIREMENTS: 10-20 years of related on the job experience Must be able to commit to 6 months minimum Must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills Must be able to interact with clients/customers in a professional manner Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous work Must possess a valid Driver’s license Must be willing to undergo a driver record check/background check and pre-employment physical (Position is contingent on positive results of a background check) Positive outcome of 2-3 reference checks Be able to pull a trailer and back up successfully Own a truck which can pull a trailer REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Please submit the following Required documents: Resume Names and contact information of 2-3 references If you are interested in this position and believe that you are qualified, please apply to the experienced carpenter and General Construction (part time) position.
