Calypso Band Start-up Seeking Bassist

So I've recently authored The Calypso Fake Book (publication pending) and I'm putting together a group! There are 83 lead sheets to work from so far. I'm on Guitar and Vocals currently and there's a Drummer and a Tenor Saxophonist. I've got big plans for the group (going all the way up to a 9 - even 12 - piece band), but I'm establishing a core-group first for versatility. Gotta know how to read lead sheets and basic notation (nothing too fancy). Knowledge of afro-latin rhythm would definitely help speed things along. We currently have an excellent space to rehearse weekly at a dedicated studio in Kihei, set up with all the works. It's a start-up so there are no current plans for gigs but, once we get enough material built up for a set, we'll get to work finding performances.
