AMPSURF's newest program “Women Veterans Surf Project” offers surf retreats and clinics designed by women veterans, for women veterans. AmpSurf™ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to Promote, Inspire, Educate, and Rehabilitate (PIER) all people with disabilities and their families through adaptive surfing and other outdoor activities. The Women Veterans Surf Project's (WVSP) goal is to highlight women veterans and provide them a space to connect and discover the joy of surfing. By utilizing surfing as a therapeutic modality for healing from trauma female service members from around the world will discover the benefits of surf therapy in a supportive and safe environment. AmpSurf provides all necessary surfing/paddling and SUP equipment, wetsuits and PFD's. Beach access wheelchairs and trained transition teams are available if required. ACCOMMODATIONSCAMP ARROYO GRANDE is nestled among oak trees and only a few minute walk away to the quaint downtown of Old Town Arroyo Grande! Learn more about Camp AG: https://camparroyogrande.com INCLUDEDThe WVSP has reserved Brigham Cabin which provides 8 bunk beds and includes 2 full bathroom facilities. This is at no-cost to all 8 participants. Please bring your own sleeping gear (sleeping bag, pillow, linens, etc) & towles. It gets cold at night! FOODContinental breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner will be provided. If you have special dietary restrictions we ask for you to bring money and/or your own food.
