Thousand Oaks Date & Time: 3/26/2021 @ 4:00 PM Unit(s) Responsible: Ventura County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Street Team Headquarters Patrol Station(S)uspects, (V)ictims, (P)arty, City of Residence Age (S) Carlos Parra (S) Mark Parra (S) Alejandro Gonzales (S) Carlos Parra Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Street Team targeted the drug trafficking activities of Oxnard resident Carlos Parra. During the course of this investigation, Detectives learned Carlos Parra conspired with others such as Mark Parra and Alejandro Gonzales to further his drug trafficking activities and distribute methamphetamines to residents of Ventura County. On March 25, 2021, Deputies from the Headquarters Patrol Station, conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle driven by Carlos Parra. The passenger of the vehicle was Mark Parra. A search of the vehicle yielded multiple ounces of methamphetamine and other items consistent with drug sales. Carlos Parra and Mark Parra were both arrested and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for possession for sales of methamphetamine. Carlos and Mark were later released. On March 26, 2021, Detectives developed information which indicated Carlos Parra was coordinating the delivery of a bulk quantity of methamphetamine in the City of Thousand Oaks. Detectives conducted surveillance, identified and detained Alejandro Gonzales based on probable cause developed which indicated he was involved with Carlos Parra and Mark Parra. A search of Alejandro Gonzales' vehicle yielded over four (4) pounds of methamphetamine. Based on the investigation, Alejandro Gonzales was arrested and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on various narcotics charges. His bail was set at $50,000 and he is awaiting court proceedings. This investigation is on-going and additional arrests are pending.
