Truly great jazz from this award-winning New York based trio outdoors on the La Merced Chapel plaza, at Corpus Christi Church. MMC presents the best of current jazz in a relaxed outdoor venue - the kind of music that brings together both jazz afficionados and those who just love good music played by musicians who joyfully communicate their love of what they do. Pianist Emmet Cohen, drummer Kyle Poole, and bassist Russell Hall are musicians who believe that "jazz is about communicating the deepest levels of humanity and individuality; it's essentially about connections." Weather permitting, the venue is atop the steps at the entry area of La Merced Chapel, with seating on the plaza and grassy areas surrounding the chapel. Some seating provided; attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Parking is in the onsite adjacent parking lot. In case of rain, the concert will be in the large Main Church that allows for properly distanced seating. Covid-related precautions will be observed, including mandatory masks and social distancing.
