Press release from the City of Eden Prairie: April 2, 2021 Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation Mayor Ron Case is challenging Eden Prairie residents to conserve water, energy and natural resources by participating in the 10th anniversary of the Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation. Throughout the month of April, residents can make online pledges at mywaterpledge.com on behalf of Eden Prairie. By making a pledge, participants promise to follow a series of conservation measures for their homes, yards and cars, such as washing only full loads of laundry, fixing leaky faucets, and walking or biking short distances. Cities with the highest percentage of residents who take the challenge in their population category qualify for a chance to win $3,000 toward their Home Utility Bills and hundreds more eco-friendly prizes. Recycling and Waste Disposal Events The City is providing several recycling opportunities this year. These recycling events are open to all Eden Prairie residents with valid ID for proof of residency. View details such as event times, lists of accepted items, costs (if applicable), maps and additional information at edenprairie.org/RecyclingEvents.
