Solo Custom Home Builder looking for assistant

I am a design build contractor with over 20 years of experience in residential design, construction, and outdoor public works projects. I am wanting to hire an assistant to help build my second energy efficient custom home. This is an opportunity work and learn in a one on one environment getting the hands on experience through every step of this residential net zero ready home. Starting from the building layout, excavation, and concrete footings through to the framing, plumbing, electrical, sheetrock, doors, windows, roofing and cabinets. I need a motivated and goal oriented person with an ability to read plans and follow written and spoken directions. Power tool familiarity along with computer/graphic design and math through trigonometry is helpful but not a must. The most important ability is to be able to follow task through to completion. Activities could require consistently lifting 50# above your head. Be prepared for working outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be ok with heights. Pay is dependent on your experience and abilities, re-evaluation after 12 months. Long term potential for advancement to prevailing wage construction jobs. Must be able to commit to 40 hrs per week typically 9-5. Power tools provided, hand tools and bags can be supplied if needed. Must have your own transportation within the Eugene metro area.
