BIRMINGHAM, AL — This past week did include a minor weather event, but for the first time in weeks, weather was not the biggest story of the week in the Birmingham metro.
In just the third homicide case in Mountain Brook in more than 50 years, a former police officer pleaded guilty to the murder of his estranged wife. Megan Montgomery was shot three times behind the Mountain Brook Athletic Complex in December of 2019.
Also this week, another COVID-19 vaccine phase was announced, as anyone 16 and older will become eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine Monday.
