Just ran into a local food purveyor at the Co-op and had a chat. It turns out the international conglomerate Compass Group, which owns Chartwells, the new Dining Services on campus, will not pay for food already consumed by the students. Not only that, HSU won't use their food going forward because the local folks have the 2 million dollar liability insurance that has been sufficient for decades. Now they need a 5 million dollar policy. It seems to me President Jackson is shitting where the students eat.
