Successful established band looking for a Bass guitar player. First and foremost, we’re in search of a Bassist ready to join our musical family and develop a long-term relationship with only this band. We're not looking for just another player-for-hire who plays for multiple bands. For the past 5 years (pre-COVID) we’ve been using a couple of amazing "gun for hire" guitarists that couldn't be better musicians or nicer guys. But now we're looking to start a new project with dedicated players, take a month or two to build a new playlist based on your talents and interests, and hit the stage! About us - We're not strictly country but our roots are there. We have co-lead singers and we play all the top Portland country venues along with private events, weddings, etc. Ideally we'll play 2 to 3 times per month and practice once a week (as needed) in our dedicated studio space in St. Helens. Our band is comprised of professionals and we take great joy in playing! We're a pro band with pro gear and a pro attitude, but this is ultimately all about having fun, being a musical family, building a great playlist and client base. We all have real jobs, so if you're hoping to make a living with your music we probably aren't the right fit. We play mainly covers, but love mixing in some obscure tunes. We do New Country, Old Country, Rock, Classic Rock, R&B, Blues, Disco - whatever tune it takes to fill the dance floor. We’re definitely not just another Classic Rock or Country cover band. As mentioned earlier, we're looking to build a new playlist that makes everyone happy, so we're open to tunes you bring to the table too. About you - You must have a great sound, pro gear and great stage presence. We usually "play it like the record", but like to make it our own as well. The ability to sing and help with harmonies is a big bonus but not a deal-breaker. Stand-up/double Bass or acoustic Bass would be a great plus too, since we have some current opportunities for some smaller gigs at restaurants and clubs as they re-open. Must be willing to help with load-in, set-up and load-out. Looking for someone who is mature, fun and drug-free (or at least not majorly altered during performances!). A couple of drinks during rehearsal and gigs are fine, but no drunks please. Auditions are open now - please send a link to samples of your music and photos if possible. Our rehearsal space is a 20 to 30 minute drive out in St. Helens (in Columbia County, Oregon - not by the volcano in Washington!). We look forward to meeting you and hearing your sound!
