Management company seeks Handy person for odd jobs around Pittsburgh. Properties are located mainly on the east side of Pittsburgh. A typical may include any of the following: Repairing leaks Replacing traps Unclogging toilets and drains Changing toilets and plumbing fixtures Complete turnovers of houses/apartments. Replacing ballast and lighting Ensuring property is safe and sound Respond to some emergencies when needed, this means if we are in the middle of a project we may have to spend a few days handling an emergency at a different place. Painting Keep track of supplies Typical Work day is 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. You must have your own vehicle to travel. Company always has a light construction project going on at all times. A typical day would look like this. Replacing a broken window in a unit: meet tenant at 9am, removed window, get glass replaced. While the glass is being replaced, respond to tenant and see why furnace is not working. Replace a thermostat. Pick up window, and replace it. When there are no emergencies, you will be working on a turnover or construction project. Company is fine to pay a gas allowance plus weekly salary. Perfect for someone who is an all around handy-fix it person looking for steady work. Not looking to make money off of a laborer like a contractor, I pass off the work at actual cost to my clients.
