Small Family owned funeral Home in Avondale is in search of a full time funeral assistant & support person. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️️ JOB - Funeral Attendant/Assistant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️️️ Job Summary No slobs, dress to impress. If you can not present a mature professional attitude and demeanor, Please do not apply. This is a extremely affordable funeral home that's intent is to provide the absolute most affordable services for those families that struggle and are in need of dignified low cost services. We do not sacrifice service for for cost. Prefer someone over 25 years old Can be a very fast paced environment, or not. Responsible for assisting in arranging funeral preparations and burials and cremation. Human remains removal (pick up decedents from Hospital, Home or Medical Examiner) Transport, cleaning, organizing, assistant to the manager. Not all will apply. Most is learn as you go and can be picked up over time if needed. 30 to 40 + or - hours a week or as needed. Wage - Hourly, depending on initiative, priorities, professionalism, EXPERIANCE, appearance and desire to learn the job. Will be using company vehicles so drug test “may” be required. BILINGUAL is a MUST! Drivers license is a must. Very small business, owners are very flexible, we ask that you be as well. Tardiness will not be tolerated AT ALL! You will be working around and with the deceased. The job is at a "MORTUARY" • Be sympathetic/empathetic with all. • Never assume if you don’t know. • Be able to move 250+ pounds if need be. • Arrange for body to be moved to funeral home day and night (on call). • Transport deceased to the mortuary from Hospice, Hospital, Residence or morgue. • Possibly interact with families on a very personal level. • Comfort grieving family members. • Dressing, casketing cosmetics of the deceased. • Arrange casket in viewing parlor or set up urn with ashes for viewing. • Set up photos, flowers or other memories of the decedent. • Greet family as they enter the funeral home. • Oversee preparation and shipment of body if burial is in another location. • Direct funeral visitations and services. • Clean, order, answer to the manager/owner and funeral director. • Handle small tasks and repetitious assignments at times. • Work well with others and represent our facility with the highest of standards. • Assist senior assistance and follow his instructions. • Assist embalmer in handling the deceased for embalming. • Keep everything clean and in order at all times. • Show and use initiative at all times • Neat casual clean in appearance. Proper casual attire, Polo shirt, black or tan pants, Black 'CLEAN shoes, suit if needed (not very often) • Follow ALL instructions to the Tee. • BE INVOLVED AND INTERACT WITH THE FAMILY AT SERVICES AT ALL TIMES! The funeral home is not a circus, act and behave proper at all times, PROFESIONALISM! At times hours may be long. The job description is NOT flexible.
