Lamplighter Village a Cal-Am Property is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our 55+ community. We own and manage our beautiful resort style property, so our pride shows in it. This is a proactive position with a focus on preventative maintenance, request for repairs, pool maintenance and improvements of vacancies to a market-ready status, and customer service. You will be part of a dedicated team who values your contribution. Job Summary • Performs various maintenance duties and pool maintenance necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community; • Handles service requests for light repairs/painting and improvements which may include but not limited to light bulb changes, caulking, filter changes, touch-up painting, lock replacement or repairs, etc; • Daily grounds upkeep and curb appeal projects surrounding the office and amenity areas to include the pool and spa; • Work without supervision and able to meet deadlines; • Focus on long-term solutions with an emphasis on preventative maintenance; • Customer Service: Interact with residents in a respectful manner as a company representative. • Performs on-call emergency service, as required. • Assists in monitoring and/or controlling maintenance inventory and/or supplies. • Works closely with management and maintenance staff in developing an integral team that effectively represents the quality and professionalism of the Company. • Maintains open communication with Community/Resort management. • Represents Company in professional manner at all times, on or off Community/Resort. • Assists other staff members as needed. • Drives motorized vehicle or golf cart on or off Community/Resort for company business. • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Other desired specialties (not required): • CPO Certified; • Plumbing; • Sprinklers. Job Qualifications • Minimum Education: High School or GED • Minimum Experience: 1 Year • Minimum Field-of-Expertise: General maintenance experience • Preferred Education: Trade school • Preferred Experience: 5 Years • Preferred Field-of-Expertise: Plumbing, electrical, carpeting, painting experience, EPA certifiable status • Valid driver’s license along with good driving record and auto insurance is required is preferred.
