Holman Logistics Forklift Operator FULL-TIME $14/hr 2969 Faye Road, Jacksonville, FL 32226 In this role you'll be part of a team that works to receive GE appliances from around the world and transport appliances to GE customers. In this role you will move materials around a warehouse using a forklift, placing appliances in stock, picking and loading appliances onto carriers, storage or similar locations. All forklift operator positions have a base rate of $14 and are eligible for bonuses! Essential Functions Statement(s) All Material Handlers -- Operate a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to be able to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis. Operate a lift truck all day. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refer defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance. Move controls to drive battery-powered lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas. Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material. Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas. Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices. Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts. Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed. Unloader - Unload products from inbound carriers (truck and rail cars). Verify that the product received is identified and counted accurately. Inspect condition of all received product. Move and place product safely and securely in its proper storage location. Preloader - Receive and read preload orders. Fill orders by accurately picking product from storage and staging that product on a spot utilizing stacking guidelines. Inspect and load trucks and arrange the products with the cube of the trailer according to recommended loading practices and guidelines. Use scanning devise and computer as needed to perform tasks. Check printout for shortages, over-counts and incorrect model numbers. Correct shortages, over-counts and incorrect models where possible. Truck Loaders - Inspect trailers before loading products. Count units on preload spot and compare with shipping documents. Move products from the preload spot, and directly from storage when required, into the trailer. Arrange the products within the cube of the trailer according to recommended loading practices and guidelines. Properly secure the load for travel.
