Family-owned family owned 200 employee business located in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx is expanding! We are conveniently located near public transportation and most major highways. We are adding staff to handle our recent growth and anticipate growth from the largest product expansion in our history. As a manufacturer of specialty and healthcare appliances, we seeking individuals to become Appliance Mechanics. Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm. Some paid overtime may be required. Successful candidate must be proactive and eager to work, candidate is always looking for ways to help business sustain and improve business operations. Who Are We Looking For? Candidate will be doing basic assembling and installation of various parts such as doors, door handles, shelves, hinges on to appliances such as refrigerators, ovens, freezers, etc. In addition, candidate will also be moving inventory to their workstation, keeping their work area clean, and repacking the appliance worked on. Job Description: Assembling various parts on to Appliances, such as doors, digital displays, compressors, condensers, etc. Modifications and customizing various Appliances, using power tools to install stainless steel panels, weather proofing appliances, adjusting the height of appliances, etc. Keeping workstation/area clean, and maintaining of work tools Lifting and moving heavy appliances via the usage of pallet jack and or hand truck Minimum Requirements: Prior general labor experience Basic knowledge and experience using power tools Basic knowledge of basic electrical wiring Ability to lift 70 pounds repeatedly Ability to work in an indoor setting with fluctuating temperatures Ability be in a setting of either prolonged sitting, standing, and/or bending Schedule and Compensation: Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00am until 3:30pm, occasional OT Salary: $16 - $18 an hour to start – full benefits, paid time off and 401K Send resumes ASAP for interviews to be scheduled shortly.
